In Writing Course 3 you learnt about paragraphs. This writing course looks at how you can make your paragraphs read well.
Linking words can be used to make sentences flow better. These are words like if, also, but, because, in fact, and, until. They are used to make connections between sentences.
Paragraphs can also be linked together using linking words. Use words like first of all, secondly, to conclude at the start of the paragraph to link the paragraph to what has been written before.
Look at the table on page 254 in your textbook for lots of examples of linking words.
